Skin needling, also known as micro needling or Collagen Induction Therapy is a minimally invasive skin rejuvenation procedure that treats many skin concerns. It helps reduce fine lines and wrinkles, acne, acne scarring, telangiectasia (dilated blood vessels), enlarged pores, pigmentation and uneven texture. A cocktail of Vitamin A and C serum, hyaluronic acid and antioxidants is applied to the skin before a mechanised pen-like device which holds a cartridge of fine needles is introduced which creates micro channels allowing the ingredients to penetrate into the deeper layers. This action stimulates growth factors and induces plasma which is very nutritious for the superficial layers. A wound healing response is started which stimulates collagen and elastin formation
